Burj Khalifa celebrates its 14th anniversary this year, and on this occasion, we have collected for you 14 of the most interesting facts about this architectural work of art.

🏰 The building remains the tallest structure in the world: it has a height of 828 meters and 163 floors.

🔗 Burj Khalifa holds several records, including the tallest outdoor observation deck, and the tallest elevator, which rises 504 meters at a speed of 36 kilometers per hour and takes guests to the observation deck in about 2 minutes.

🌸 The design of the tower is inspired by the shape of the Hymenocalis "spider lily" flower. The central core rises above and ends with a sculptural spire.

📍 On a clear day, the spire of the skyscraper can be seen at a distance of up to 95 km.

⚡️ The Burj Khalifa building can deviate from its axis by 1.5-2 meters in strong gusts of wind.

🏟️ The area of Burj Khalifa is equal to the area of 17 football fields.

🌅 In Burj Khalifa, you can watch the sunset twice: once from the lower floor and then from the observation deck!

🔝 At the highest point of the Burj Khalifa, the temperature is almost 6°C lower than at "ground level"
A special brand of concrete that can withstand temperatures up to +50°C was developed especially for the Burj Khalifa. The concrete mixture was laid only at night, and ice was added to the solution.
🔝 The glass of the Burj Khalifa does not allow dust to pass through and repels the sun's rays, allowing you to maintain the optimal temperature in the building.

🐘 If you compare the weight of materials used in construction, the weight of concrete is equal to 100,000 elephants, and the weight of aluminum used is equal to 5 A380 airplanes!

💡 Every day, Burj Khalifa uses more than 950 thousand tons of water, and the skyscraper also consumes as much electricity as 360 thousand incandescent light bulbs.
The air inside the building is not only cooled, but also flavored thanks to special membranes. This fragrance was developed especially for the Burj Khalifa.

🏆 Burj Khalifa has several interesting machines selling... gold! Anyone who wants to, for a certain amount of banknotes, can get gold bars weighing from 2.5 to 30 grams, with the image of Burj himself embossed on them. One machine is located on the observation platform At The Top, the other - in the front of the tower.
